The European Union’s decision on exemption of
decabromodiphenyl ether (Deca-BDE) from the Restriction of Hazardous
Substances (RoHS) directive (October, 2005) has been annulled. Deca-BDE
has been used as a flame retardant in many electrical and electronics
parts.
